Michael A. Tinari, Esq.

Michael A. Tinari was born in Marietta, Georgia and raised in Weeki Wachee, Florida. He attended Weeki Wachee High School, where he stood out both academically and athletically.

Michael then continued his academics at Saint Leo University (Saint Leo, FL) where he received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, with a minor in legal studies. Michael was also a 4-year member of the Lions’ nationally ranked Men’s Soccer team. During his time at Saint Leo, Michael was inducted into the National College Athlete Honor Society and maintained a position in Student Athlete Advisory Committee, which advocates for the university’s student-athletes in front of the NCAA.

Upon graduation from Saint Leo, Michael attended law school at Hofstra University, Maurice A. Deane School of Law (Hempstead, NY). While at Hofstra, Michael saw continued academic success as he qualified for the highly competitive Trial Advocacy Team as well as achieving the highest grade in the School’s Criminal Law Section. However, missing the warm-weather, Michael returned to Florida shortly after graduation.

After spending a summer studying for the Florida Bar Exam, Michael joined the State Attorney’s Office for the 5th Judicial Circuit and began prosecuting out of their Citrus County Office. As a prosecutor, he tried more jury trials than most lawyers try in their entire career. He then took the knowledge he acquired and formed Caporicci & Tinari Law, PLLC with a partner and fellow former-prosecutor to provide exceptional representation to our community.

Since entering private practice, Michael has been fortunate to successfully represent individuals facing a wide array of legal issues, including very serious criminal charges. Types of criminal cases that Michael has handled include Human Trafficking, Armed Burglary, Homicide, Drug and Firearm Possessions, Driving Under the Influence, and Domestic Battery to name a few.

Michael’s practice of law focuses heavily on investigating and exploring potential factual and legal issues or inconsistencies in the opposing case and arguing those issues in court or leveraging those into favorable outcomes for his clients.

When Michael isn’t advocating for his clients, he enjoys playing golf, fishing with his brother, and watching the Buccaneers.
